Golden Hour Jewelry Co. came to fruition in April of 2023, two months after I received my first permanent bracelet. That simple, dainty paper clip bracelet was the beginning of a very special chapter in my life. I always dreamt of owning a small business and making it my own, but ideas of fear and doubt seemed to creep in. There’s risk in starting a business, and the thought of it failing terrified me. After weeks of thinking, praying, researching, and obsessing over this idea, it was clear to me that I could do this. I love people, I truly enjoy connecting and building relationships, I have a keen eye for detail, and I have a love for markets and fun, unique events/parties. I knew that my permanent jewelry business could bring so much joy, connection, beauty, and “firsts” to the lives of others. Permanent jewelry brings people together. It creates special moments and memories, and it’s the perfect accessory and experience for both the jewelry-obsessed and the non-jewelry wearers.

I’ve been asked, “why the name Golden Hour?” Golden hour is the last hour before sunset and the first hour after sunrise. It’s when the sun is really low in the sky, creating a much softer, warmer light where shadows are less dark and the highlights are less bright. I’ve always loved this time of day, specifically at sunset in the summer, when the day is nearing its end, the sky is golden, and everything looks and feels so warm and magical. Insert Golden Hour Jewelry LLC (Golden Hour Jewelry Co.). The name just made sense! Not to mention, more than half of my products are GOLD. I’m so glad I took the leap and started Golden Hour Jewelry Co. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and seeing the excitement that it brings and the memories that are created makes it beyond worth it.
